Product Details

K-FLEX 500P is a dibenzoate coalescent for environmentally friendly, low-VOC paints. Specifically designed for the coatings industry, K-FLEX 500P provides formulators with a solution that meets regulations and consumer demands for lower VOC content, without sacrificing performance and value.

Offering excellent scrub resistance and gloss, K-FLEX 500P aids in the development of desirable performance characteristics while offering improved handling due to low temperature flexibility. Its performance and value make it a viable replacement to higher-volatility coalescents such as TMPDMIB (2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol monoisobutyrate) or even low-VOC types such as triethylene glycol di-2-ethylhexanoate.

K-FLEX 500P is also used as a non-phthalate plasticizer in adhesives, plastisols, and other applications requiring a polar plasticizer with a lower VOC content.
