K-FLEX® 975P is a patented dibenzoate plasticizer and coalescent, designed for a broad range of compatibility with polar polymers. It is economical to use, and due to its low temperature flexibility, it has superior handling properties compared to other dibenzoate plasticizers.

Optimized for performance in flexible vinyl (particularly plastisols), K-FLEX 975P is a high solvator that offers excellent stain resistance, extraction resistance, and durability. Manufacturers benefit from improved production efficiency and economy due to fast fusion and dry times, as well as the possibility to reduce expensive copolymer levels.

In water-based adhesives, latex caulks, and elastomeric sealants, K-FLEX 975P improves elastomeric and adhesion characteristics, demonstrating strong viscosity response of the base emulsion to the plasticizer (demonstrating compatibility and allowing flexibility). It also improves wet tack, suppresses Tg, extends open times, and reduces set times in adhesives.

K-FLEX 975P also serves as a low-VOC coalescing aid in paints and coatings, where it demonstrates desirable performance properties relative to high-VOC coalescents. Notable characteristics include excellent scrub resistance, dirt resistance, blocking resistance, gloss and Tg suppression. K-FLEX 975P can also be used in direct-to-metal and corrosion resistant coatings, where it demonstrates excellent hardness development and salt fog resistance.
