Product Details

VPS 7163 is a strong crosslinker. It can be used as an adhesion promoter on different types of substrates like metals and plastics. The molecule with the heterocyclic planar six membered ring system imparts good wetting and thermal resistance thus leading to good adhesion even at high temperatures on metal substrates.

Typical Applications

VPS 7163 can be used in adhesives and sealants, in coatings as well as in primer formulations. Recommended applications in adhesives and sealants, coatings and primers:
  • 1K, 2K - PU
  • Silicones
  • Epoxy resins
  • Silane modified polymer systems in combination with other aminosilanes
  • Hotmelts
    • The thermal stability and the low volatility of VPS 7163 makes it especially useful for hot melt adhesives, e.g., EVA, PA, polyester, PU, and polyolefins
